Our Team
Behind every service, prayer, and parish event are the people who make it happen. Here at Christ Our Light, we’re blessed with a team of clergy and support staff who bring heart, humility, and hope to everything they do. Each brings unique gifts, experiences, and a shared commitment to walking alongside others in faith. Get to know their faces and stories.

Phil Saltmarsh
I'm Phil, Team Rector of Christ Our Light Liverpool and I'm based in Speke at St Aidan's with All Saints. I'm passionate about seeing all people released to use their God given gifts to make their community and the world a better place. That passion sometimes means speaking against injustice that oppresses people. I love how art can help speak into injustice, in a creative and non-violent way.

Tom Langdon-Smith
I'm Tom the vicar at St Mark's Childwall Valley and St Stephen's Gateacre. I've been in post since November 2024 and am still loving what I do. Other than loving Jesus, my family and the people I serve in the team, I also love keeping fish, snails and shrimp in my many aquariums, as well as cycling on the Liverpool Loopline with my boys. Both these hobbies keep me rooted and bring me joy.

Kirsty White
I’m Kirsty ,and I lead Springwood Church. I’m passionate about seeing people encounter Jesus and receive His hope and joy. I can usually be found having fun outdoors with my family, but I also love musical theatre and comedians (and can often be found laughing way too loud)!

Andy Radford
Hi, my name is Andy, and I have been a Team Vicar of Halewood and Hunts Cross since November 2019. I am married to Jen, who is also our Parish Coordinator at St Hilda's. We have two adult daughters, who are both studying. I enjoy long walks in the countryside and am a long-time supporter of Arsenal FC. I also enjoy managing our garden and finding and chopping wood for our log burner. I have been in Liverpool now for 17 years and before that lived in West London for 23 years. However, I was brought up in Plymouth and so I still love time spent by the coast.

Gareth Morgan
I’m Gareth and I’m Team Vicar in Halewood & Hunts Cross (St Nicholas’ & St Mary’s Halewood and St Hilda’s Hunts Cross) and I’ve been here since August 2023. As well as being a Vicar, I’m married to Elizabeth and I’m Dad to Sarah and Hannah. I love being a Vicar and I love the people I’ve been called to serve. Being a Vicar, a Husband, and a Dad keeps me pretty busy, but in my spare time I love to cook. I love preparing a meal and spending time with good friends with food.

We love gardening, opening our garden for charity in the summer, and we love traveling too.

Bethany Fahrer
I’m Bethany and I’m the Operations Manager for Christ Our Light Parish. I’ve been a member of All Saint’s church for the last few years, and am excited to see my work make a difference in the area I live in. I’ve worked in Pharma companies, Pension companies, and even a premier cinema in London! I've lived in Liverpool for the last 13 years and have come to love the vibrant life of this amazing city. I have many hobbies including singing – I'm a member of a choir and am trained to sing Opera! You’ll probably hear me before you see me!

Jess Forrester
I’m Jess, and I have been the Parish Administrator for Halewood for nearly four years. I have also been the Project Administrator for Fit for Mission. These roles have been really beneficial throughout the transition, and I feel truly blessed in my line of work. I am also a mum of two beautiful children who fill my weekends with lots of activities and fun adventures. There’s nothing I love more than spending time with family and friends.

Richard Cassidy
I'm Rich and I'm the Finance Officer for Christ Our Light, based at St Nicholas Centre in Halewood.
I'm married to Alison and we have 2 grown up daughters, Charlotte and Ellie. I worked in Banking for 26 years, and spent 6 years until 2024 working in the ambulance service, (if you are a fan of the BBC programme Ambulance, you may have seen my slightly younger face in the Control Room ).
Outside of work, I like to keep myself busy, I am a Trustee of Imagine Independence and Chair of Governors at the junior school I attended (many years ago!). Any other spare time I have I enjoy doing a Pilates class and trying to keep up with my running.
